Superstition



Personally, I believe some superstitions, for example, 8 is a lucky number and unmarried people take the last piece on a dish because it means they will marry someone good-looking. This is because I’ve heard about them many times in Thailand. However, there are no reasons or research to confirm they are true.

    I think the reason why number 8 is thought lucky number is 8 reminds us "INFINIT". Thus Japanese believe lucky number is 8, as you see the reading.

    If eating the last piece of food on the plate means you will marry someone good looking, people must compete with each other for that last piece. How funny!

    8(eight＝八) means "spread" in Japan, so Japanese like number 8.
